Steve Johnson and Lou Fancher

Lou, what is your favorite color?

My favorite color depends on what it appears on. Clothes? Black. Bedroom walls? Creamy white. Sky? Blue. Oceans? Deep blue greens, with white, foamy crested waves.

Steve, if you could be a children's book character, who would it be and why?

Harold, from Harold and the Purple Crayon. Because he draws things.

Steve, what is your favorite thing to eat?

Any meal that has pizza, ice cream and strawberries in it.

Lou, what is your favorite thing to draw?

My favorite thing to draw is conclusions. I like to think about people, then connect what they say and do with meaning. When I was 10, my favorite thing to draw was Mrs. Barrera, my third-grade teacher, who was wicked and large-nosed.

To both of you; If you were not an artist, what would you like to be?

Steve: A golfer or a baseball player.
Lou: I think I’d be an artist no matter what.  Even if I was a lawyer or a doctor, I’d try to find a way to be creative and use my imagination to solve problems.
